Live Performance News!
OCTOBER 18TH DATE SOLD OUT IN ONLY THREE WEEKS!
Second show added on the opening night of the festival, Thursday, October 11th. Tickets on sale now!
I’ve got some exciting news to share! A fews weeks ago I received word that my show “Wrap Your Heart Around It – One Woman’s Journey from Depression to Dessert” had been chosen to perform as part of the United Solo Theatre Festival in New York City on Broadway this fall! October 18th, 2012 at 7:30pm to be exact, at the Studio Theatre on 42nd Street. So if you live in that part of the world, or if you are just looking for a really fun excuse to spend a few days in NYC, come catch the show! Tickets are now on sale through Telecharge on the United Solo website (www.unitedsolo.org). Seats are limited, but if the show happens to sell out, they will add more dates!
This is a life-long dream of mine and I can’t believe it is all happening so quickly. It was just two years ago that I performed this production for the first time in my living room… and now… Broadway! The show is being produced by Emmy-Award winning producer/director Paul Miller and directed by Diana Basmajian. I am so thankful for all of their help and guidance. If you’ve got time to waste and want to know all the details on how I got to this point in my career, I’ve written a short story, “The Intersection of Broadway & Kindergarten“, that summarizes my journey up to this point.
We are doing a workshop presentation of the show in Martha’s Vineyard on Wednesday August 22nd, and may possibly add additional performances so check back.
And thank YOU… for being part of this next big step!
P.s. For you polka fans out there… I just confirmed that I will be performing at the 25th Anniversary of the National Cleveland-Style Polka Hall of Fame Awards Show on Saturday, November 24th!
